MAA COVID-19 Response
As a valued member of the MAA family, we wanted to reach out to you about the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation, and how we are responding to it.
MAA is keeping a close eye on the developments and government advice, and has been consulting with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and ACFID. Our team of executives have been meeting regularly to discuss our response to this changing situation, and we are on stand by to support you with any concerns that you may have as a donor.
Our robust technological infrastructure allows us to be agile and flexible and work remotely if required. We are also in constant touch with our partners on the ground to ensure their safety, and the smooth delivery of existing and new MAA projects.
Distribution of essential humanitarian aid around the world continues, but using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety precautions where applicable. In sha Allah, our team is determined to continue working hard in the lead up to the blessed and busy month of Ramadan.
Meanwhile, in these difficult times of the pandemic, isolation, lock downs and fear, let us remember the millions of people around the world who have been living through similar circumstances for a very long time now, due to natural or man made calamities. They are always in need and we can help them. After all, our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.”
