The Most Important Dua for Laylatul Qadr
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) taught Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) a beautiful dua to recite on Laylatul Qadr. She asked the Prophet:
“O Messenger of Allah, what do you think I should say in my supplication, if I come upon Laylatul-Qadr?”
He replied:
Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
Transliteration: "Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni"
Translation: O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me
This concise and powerful dua encapsulates the essence of Laylatul Qadr: seeking Allah's forgiveness and mercy.
