MAA is an international relief & development agency that believes in supporting & assisting the world’s poorest & most needy communities regardless of race, religion, or nationality.

Since 1989, MAA has supported projects in over 50 countries around the globe, spanning Africa, Asia & Europe. We have helped millions of people around the world and in Australia with our quick and responsive emergency assistance as well as our on-going long term projects. MAA strongly believes in the development of long-term projects for education & training, provision of clean water, healthcare, and to establish livelihoods & break cycles of poverty.

MAA International is registered by the Australian Taxation Office with DGR status for 100% tax deductible donations. Additionally, we are also a Member of the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID), the peak body for Australian aid and development NGOs.

What are your admin fees?v

MAA has a 100% donation policy for any donations made towards specific programmes or campaigns such as Orphan Aid or Emergency Aid. For general donations, there are 5 groups of expenses categorised by NGOs:
1. Distributed Funds & Project Pipeline
2. Administration
3. International Projects Support
4. Marketing & Fund-raising
5. Community Development & Education
MAA's Revised Admin, and Fundraising & Marketing percentage is 4.06%. The Revised Admin Cost is defined as the balance of the admin cost, after the direct donation contribution made by donors towards MAA's administration expenses.

Are my donations Tax Deductible?v

Yes, all donations made to MAA are 100% tax deductible. This is not restricted to any specific campaigns or projects. If you have not received a tax deductible receipt for a donation you have made please contact us on 1800 100 786 or email care@maainternational.org.au. To make this process easy, please also include the date of payment and the campaign you donated towards.

How do I create an MAA account?v

To create an account, click on the “Sign In” link on the top right of the page and fill out the form under “New to MAA?” Once the form is properly filled out, click “Register” on the bottom of the page. Creating an account will give you a personal Donor ID which you may quote when contacting us for information on orphan sponsorship, past or current donations or to receive Tax Receipts. Your MAA account will also allow you to keep track of your current and past donations for tax deductibility and donation management purposes.

Our Partners

MAA delivers our international humanitarian and development projects primarily through implementing partners and MAA Field Offices. We also deliver local activities in partnership with local community groups and service providers.

MAA practices all necessary due diligence to ensure all its potential and registered partners are assessed prior to the commencement of any MAA aid or development project initiative.

MAA’s selection of Field Partners focusses on the transparent nature of each field partner, location, and skills to implement and deliver upon each project. MAA has a defined Partner Rate Card system that has been put in place to rate its Field-Partners against clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
